Thanks for your heartfelt and moving posts David. As we are both former New Age self-worshippers we have some extra camaraderie.

In regard to your second post, our perceptions have an amazing way of twisting our minds don't they?

Although my writings are just clay and iron, with very limited Spirit in them compared to Scripture, the same is also true for The Bible itself, because as it's written in Isaiah 29:11, it is a "sealed book." Meaning that without the leading of the Holy Spirit it can give many different answers to the same question.

Another good friend named David has written extensively on this topic, here is a really interesting post: http://kingdavidstable.com/a-sealed-book/

Blessings of The Most High and The Lord Jesus Christ to you!

Friend,

I re-read your post and managed to see something completely different than I did the first time! I feel like a fool now! At least a fool for Christ and no less.

Perhaps it is better to sleep than to reply to blogs at 2am.

God bless you,

Friend,

I came across your webpage while searching the internet. I have prayed for you. I pray that Jesus uses these words to bring light and joy to your heart. I praise his holy name. Glory be to the Father, amen.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. There is no other salvation but through him. The enemy of God has many devices to ensnare the unwary and lead them from the path of life. One favorite device is to not deny God, but to attempt to change God; adding or subtracting from his word. This tactic has been used from Genesis (Eve) to the trial of Jesus himself.

For some time I used to follow such new-age teachers as you mention in this post. They give the veneer of Christianity by quoting a verse here and there, enticing our ears with pleasant words, but never in proper contexts. Eckhart Tolle often used a verse you quote, "the kingdom of God is within you." The way this is used is to actually point us away from Christ and towards our own darkened understandings, however, so we may be robbed in the night. Reading of this verse in proper context and in prayer will give you a different understanding.

I will give you another verse to consider, if you will, Matthew 4:5:
"Then the devil took him to the holy city, had him stand on the highest point of the temple, and said to him, 'If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down. For it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you’ and ‘with their hands they will lift you up, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’' Jesus said to him, 'Once again it is written: ‘You are not to put the Lord your God to the test.’”

If the enemy so pridefully believed he could decieve the Son of God himself with misquoted scripture, how much more do you believe he will use this against you? I earnestly hope and ask you to put down the new age authors and go directly to the source material (the Bible) with a humble and contrite heart. This is the only way your eyes will be opened to the truth.

I will leave you with one final verse, James 1:5:
"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord."

May the blessings of God be upon you, with all truth and love, hiding nothing, for the preservation of your soul.
