Socialism, capitalism and too many “conservatives”
It’s a funny thing today to see the battles waging against “liberals” and “conservatives” raging for either “free market capitalism” or “government-controlled industry”—but what if our commonly perceived choices aren’t all that different?
Despite the logical perception and the apparent differences between Obama and Romney, Jon Stewart does a great job showing how “socialist” many prominent “conservatives” really are.
If Obama’s policies and core philosophy is so flawed, and Romney shows a multitude of similar positions, why are so many placing so much faith in him?
In the end this is a Strong Word: “Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save.” Psalm 146:3

“So couldn’t get video to play. But Russia Tv and John Stewart hm” ???
yes, I really do want a true free market.
could anyone get elected pushing to the right? here’s one data point suggesting that’s a yes: http://www.dailypaul.com/226224/ron-paul-edge-obama-44-to-43-in-the-rasmussen-daily-tracking-poll-04-12-2012

I could not get the video to play.
Just saying Jon Stewart what Steve Colbert next.
Ok so all that regulation on large corps., all the forced release info and who’s on what board what company owns what gone and your good with that. Food regulation and release of ingredents gone. That’s pure free market.
And I get there are polls that show Paul could win. I get after Paul got beat in the vote his people found there way to take positions when most people like me thought the vote would be respected by those chosen to represent that area. But polls aren’t results. Also I hear you don’t think Paul holds back? If Paul was behind doors you think he would question 9/11 a little or be more set on the controversial cuts?
-
I like what he had to say in the video, I don’t care that he’s misguided on other issues or beholden to a left-leaning base audience.
I don’t understand your mentions about info release and food ingredients–I didn’t say anything about releasing board data. Most of that data is public anyway. The market solves the food ingredients issue, companies that hid their ingredients would suffer and/or food safety boards would appear that would do scientific research on food to study its element. ie Consumer Reports.
The polls aren’t disrespected, our electoral system is based on delegates. If you want to re-design the system it’s all yours. We’re supposed to be stupid and not play by the rules? eh?
Yeah, I think Paul holds back. Once in a while he talks about the New World Order, and Bilderberg. re: 9-11, I don’t know. On cuts I don’t think he’d flinch and I don’t think he’s wrong.
-
It’s public because it’s regulated to be relese that information publicly companies forced to release info is regulation regulation is not free market.
It’s quiete the assumaption that these companies would just choose to fallow these food safety boards. Y’a I think the market would check some but not nearly as much as you think. Now for people like you and me y’a we would only go to the companies like that but alot of the general public I think price would win most of the time. Now y’a I like a market damn close to free but I think you underestimate the power large corps would have.
If Paul wins let’s say 10% of the vote but gets delegates because his people find ways to get the delegate spotts that represents the more then that then it dosen’t show Paul is electable just his supporters play the political game they say they hate better then others.

I just look at it like this if a guy runs a American company and in an economic decision came out hard that out sourcing is good and America is causing it. Wow that company would be boycotted and dogged so on. Is it wrong in a free market to say America has made it’s self unattractive and so I’m going with smarter business decision no. But when you have to play PC that real decision isn’t had. And the meetings ask what is talked about is used. Not supported just the information is used.

Out sourcing dose happen and people do boycott those companies. But it’s an example of that the people that run those companies have to becarfull about how they talk about that decision but at conferences like which is not the only one but probaly most formal and prestigest people can have conversations open with out having to worry about there words or ideas being twisted.
Bildiburge is not a goverment meeting. It holds no policy power it is just a place for open conversation. I don’t have a problem with that.
